Pick your own fruit and veg

fruit picking

Are the summer holidays starting to pall already? With the news that British tourists are charged more than locals at restaurants and attractions abroad, chaos at Calais and a survey showing that 50% of parents have already spent half of the summer holiday entertainment budget by 1 August, many are already looking forward to September’s return to school.

If you are running out of ideas by now, how about a day vegetable and fruit picking? It’s affordable, wholesome and great fun. Fruit and vegetable picking is also a relatively cheap way to come home with the freshest fruit and veg – and the kids will be far more likely to eat it after picking it themselves!
